For the 2020 Nationals Road Race on Sunday: some info
Safety first! Please put the safety of other riders and yourself first. Nothing better than not needing our first-aiders and definitely not needing an ambulance.
Registration: Registration is at the Town Hall in Gumeracha on the main road through Gummy – can’t miss it. Please be at registration at least 45 minutes before your group’s start time to collect your hat cover, racing number, and transponder (if hiring one).
Transponder check: if you are bringing your own transponder, please have it checked at the Hall – we just want to make sure it works OK.
Start: we start from the car park at the Town Hall. Please be at the start line at least 5 minutes before your group’s start time for the referee briefing. No briefing, no start.
Afterwards: Please return your hat cover, number and if you are hiring a transponder, that as well. If you are doing the TT on Monday, you will get a number and transponder (if hiring one) at the registration desk on Monday.
Charge up on that morning coffee and cake! The Good Pantry, one of the local cafes in Gumeracha, has kindly agreed to open up early – 6.30 am – to have coffee and goodies on offer. It’s great of them to do this so please go and see Danielle and her team, and support the locals who are supporting us. It’s on the left heading through Gummy and only a couple of hundred meters before the Town Hall. http://thegoodpantry.com.au/
Presentations: All presentations will be done at the Town Hall at the end of racing. Racing should finish about 1pm so we should be doing the presentations around 1.30’ish. We’ll have some catering happening after the race so you can re-charge those lost calories.
