As a member of one or more of the three South Australian veterans/masters cycling clubs, you also belong to South Australian Masters Cycling Association (SAMCA) and Australian Veterans Cycling Council (AVCC).
SAMCA Members are advised that the AGM will be held on Tuesday 19th November 2019 at the Unley Community Centre, 18 Arthur Street Unley, commencing at 7.00 pm with registration from 6.45 pm.
Positions open and needing to be filled are as follows:
- President,
- Vice President (one),
- Secretary, and
- Treasurer.
Nominations for these positions should be in writing and submitted 28 days prior to the meeting, ie 23rd October. Scanned nominations may be sent via email to Richard Tormet: secretary@samc.org.au
- NOTICE OF ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
The 2019 SAMCA Annual General Meeting will be held:
- from 7.00 pm Tuesday 19th November 2019;
- at Unley Community Centre 18 Arthur Street, Unley;
- with registration from 6.45 pm.
SAMCA encourages all members to attend and to have a say in the running of our sport.
- CALL FOR NOMINATIONS
Nominations for vacant roles must be received by the Secretary no later than 8:00pm Wednesday 23rd October.
Nomination must be signed by the proposer and by the nominee; both must be current financial members.
A new requirement under the SAMCA Constitution is that the nominee must have been a Member of the Association for at least one year immediately prior to the AGM.
Nominations will be acknowledged, so if you do not receive an email confirmation within 3 days, please ring on 0426 826 865.

- Elected Roles
Incumbent committee members are eligible to stand for re-election without nomination.
President – David Degenhardt.
Vice President – Don Clifton.
Secretary –Richard Tormet.
Treasurer –Richard Tormet.
- Appointed Roles
2.1 Public Officer
The Committee will appoint the Public Officer as soon as practicable following the Annual General Meeting. The position may be filled by the retiring Public Officer and may be filled by another existing Committee member in addition to any other role or roles that member may hold.

2.2 Chief South Australian Referee
The Committee will appoint a Chief South Australian Referee as soon as practicable following the Annual General Meeting. The position may be filled by the retiring Chief South Australian Referee and may be filled by another existing Committee member in addition to any other role or roles that member may hold.

2.3 State Handicapper
This role no longer exists.
- Nominations will also be accepted for Life Membership
A nominee for Life Membership will have given exceptional service in the task of promoting the interests and objectives of the association as a member of the Association for a continuous period of not less than ten years.
Nominations for Life Membership need only be signed by the proposer. Both the proposer and nominee must be current financial members.

After the close of nominations, a list of those seeking election to the Committee will be sent to Members of the Association. Elections for all positions, should they be necessary, will be carried out at the Annual General Meeting.
