As a member of one or more of the three South Australian veterans/masters cycling clubs, you also belong to South Australian Masters Cycling Association (SAMCA) and Australian Veterans Cycling Council (AVCC).

Members are reminded that the SAMCA AGM will be held on Tuesday 20th November 2018 at the Unley Community Centre, 18 Arthur Street Unley, commencing at 7.00 pm with  registration from 6.45 pm.

Positions open and needing to be filled include the Vice President, Secretary, SAMCA State Referee, and State Handicapper. Nominations for these positions should be in writing and submitted 28 days prior to the meeting, ie 22nd October. SAMCA encourages all members to attend and to have a say in the running of our sport.



The 2018 SAMCA Annual General Meeting will be held:

  • from 7.00 pm Tuesday 20th November 2018;
  • at Unley Community Centre 18 Arthur Street, Unley;
  • with registration from 6.45 pm.


Nominations for vacant roles must be received by the Secretary no later than 8:00pm Monday 22ndOctober.

The nomination must be signed by the proposer and by the nominee; both must be current financial members.

Vice President – Incumbent Robert Freak.

Secretary  – Incumbent Richard Tormet.


Racing Officials (1 year term)

Incumbents are eligible to stand for re-election but must submit a valid nomination


State Referee – Note that the Constitution uses this title but the role is as SAMCA Chief Referee.Nominees may be a Club, State, or National Referee. The SAMCA Committee works with the incumbent to develop this role. Consequently the role continues to evolve. State Handicapper

Nominations will also be accepted for Life members

A nominee for Life membership will have given exceptional service in the task of promoting the interests and objectives of the association as a member of the association for a continuous period of not less than ten years.

Nominations for Life Membership must be signed by the proposer. Both the proposer and nominee must be current financial members.
