For most riders it’s a matter of just pitching up in time for their race, and if they place, stay behind for their prize. And on the day, if it looks a bit wet, or a bit cold, or a bit windy, then meh, maybe I’ll just not bother. However bear in mind all the work that’s gone into setting up the event for YOU plus all that happens after the event to keep them running like a well oiled machine!
